Warehouse Section Leader – Brighouse (Near Bradford)

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Section Leader to join our well-established client on a permanent basis based in Brighouse (HD6 3TD), West Yorkshire, near Bradford. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity offering a salary of up to £37,000 per annum, flexible shift patterns, excellent company benefits and genuine opportunities for long-term career progression.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Warehouse Team Leader, Warehouse Supervisor, Distribution Supervisor, Shift Manager, Warehouse Shift Manager, Operations Team Leader, Logistics Team Leader or Warehouse Operations Supervisor.

Shifts

 • Flexible shift pattern covering 40 hours per week

 • 06:00 – 14:00

 • 14:00 – 22:00

 • 11:00 – 19:00 (during off-peak periods)

 • For the right candidate, there may be the opportunity to work a permanent 08:00 – 16:00 shift

Rates of Pay

 • Up to £37,000 per annum, depending on experience

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Warehouse Section Leader, your duties will include:

 • Leading, motivating and developing a team within a busy warehouse operation

 • Creating a positive, inclusive and high-performing working environment

 • Driving team performance to achieve operational targets and customer service levels

 • Allocating workloads to ensure orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time

 • Monitoring KPIs and using performance data to drive continuous improvement

 • Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and warehouse processes

 • Coaching and developing colleagues to maximise individual and team performance

 • Ensuring Health & Safety policies and procedures are followed at all times

 • Investigating operational challenges and implementing sustainable solutions

 • Producing operational reports, analysing performance data and supporting continuous improvement initiatives

Essential Skills

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 • Previous experience leading teams within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment

 • Strong leadership and people management skills

 • Experience achieving operational KPIs and service levels

 • Excellent communication and organisational skills

 • A proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement

 • Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and reporting tools

 • Strong problem-solving abilities with the confidence to make decisions

 • Flexibility to work across rotating shift patterns

Desirable Experience

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

 • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or SAP

 • Lean methodologies or Continuous Improvement initiatives

 • Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) procedures

 • Process improvement, productivity and operational efficiency projects

Training Provided

 • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
