Hydraulics Service Engineer – Wolverhampton / Rugeley

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Hydraulics Service Engineer to join our well-established client based in Wolverhampton and Rugeley. This is an excellent opportunity offering ongoing work, a company van, specialist training, and the chance to join an established British manufacturer.

Working full-time, five days per week, you will carry out the maintenance, servicing, and repair of specialist machinery at customer sites across the UK.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Service Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or Plant Engineer.

Rates of Pay:

  • £15.00 per hour

Shift Pattern:

  • Full-time position
  • Five days per week
  • 40 to 50 hours per week
  • Travel to customer sites across the UK required

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a Hydraulics Service Engineer, you will work:

  • Carrying out routine maintenance and servicing on specialist machinery
  • Diagnosing hydraulic and mechanical faults
  • Completing on-site repairs and breakdown support
  • Fault finding and replacing hydraulic components where required
  • Ensuring equipment is maintained to a high standard and remains safe to operate
  • Travelling to customer sites as required
  • Completing maintenance records and service documentation accurately
  • Providing a professional level of customer service at all times

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Hydraulics Service Engineer, you will need:

  • Previous experience working within hydraulics and/or mechanical engineering
  • The ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs independently
  • A strong understanding of hydraulic and mechanical systems
  • A full UK Driving Licence
  • A willingness to travel to customer sites throughout the UK
  • No more than three penalty points on your driving licence
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Training:

  • Full training on the company’s horse walker systems
  • Industry-related training and ongoing support
  • Candidates with previous experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Plant Engineer, or Service Engineer where hydraulics formed a key part of the role are encouraged to apply
