Warehouse Operative – Reading

£14.89 – £22.34 per hour | Choice of Shifts | Overtime Paid at 1.5x | Ongoing Work Available

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join our well-established client based in Reading on a full-time temporary basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering a choice of shifts, excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a reputable logistics operation.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Warehouse Operative, Freezer Warehouse Operative, Picker Packer, Order Picker, Warehouse Assistant, LLOP Driver, Distribution Operative, or Goods In Operative.

Shifts

Shifts are available on either:

 • Sunday to Thursday
 • Tuesday to Saturday

Working hours:

 • 06:00 – 14:00
 • 14:00 – 22:00
 • 22:00 – 06:00

Rates of Pay

 • £14.89 – £22.34 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Warehouse Operative, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

 • Working within a freezer warehouse environment (full PPE provided)
 • Picking stock accurately using a voice-picking system
 • Operating a LLOP (Low Level Order Picker)
 • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work area
 • Ensuring orders are picked accurately and efficiently
 • Adhering to all company health and safety procedures
 • Supporting the wider warehouse team as required

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Warehouse Operative, you will need:

 • Previous experience within a warehouse and/or manufacturing environment
 • A reliable, hardworking, and team-focused attitude
 • The ability to follow instructions and work safely
 • Good attention to detail and accuracy
 • Flexibility to work within a fast-paced environment
 • Good communication skills

Desirable Experience

 • Previous experience working within a freezer or chilled environment
 • Experience using voice-picking systems
 • Previous LLOP experience

Training Provided

 • Full training provided
 • Ongoing development support throughout your assignment
