Food Production Operative – Swindon

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Food Production Operative to join our well-known client based in Swindon.

Rates of Pay:

• £13.50 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• 5 days from 7
• 01.00 – 08.00

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a Food Production Operative, you will work:

• Working on a production line in a hot environment, overseeing machines and ensuring efficient production
• Packing products to meet specifications and carrying out quality checks
• Responding to machine or product issues and reporting them to the supervisor
• Completing all relevant paperwork while maintaining high safety standards
• Assisting with the preparation and production of baked goods and confectionery products
• Decorating and finishing products to company standards

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Food Production Operative, you will need:

• English language skills at a communicative level
• PPE required: safety boots and hi-vis vest
• A minimum of six months’ experience in one of the following:
• Bakery production
• Food manufacturing
• Manufacturing in a factory environment
• Machine operating
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
• Good level of numeracy
• Flexible approach to work
• Knowledge of Food Safety and Health & Safety procedures

Training:

• Full on-the-job training provided
