Van Delivery Driver – Swindon
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Van Delivery Driver to join our national client based in Swindon.

Working as part of a busy distribution team, you will be responsible for completing multi-drop deliveries, maintaining accurate records and ensuring excellent customer service throughout your working day.
This role would suit candidates with experience as a Multi-Drop Driver, Courier Driver or Delivery Driver.
Rates of Pay:
£14.25 per hour
Overtime after 40 hours paid at £21.38 per hour
Shift Pattern:
As a Van Delivery Driver, you will work:
- Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays
- 07:45 to 17:15

Day-to-Day Duties:
Your duties as a Van Delivery Driver are:
- Completing multi-drop deliveries, typically 40 to 50 drops per day
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Delivering parcels to clients and customers
- Collecting parcels from local customers
- Ensuring all loads are safe and secure during transportation
- Completing vehicle inspections and reporting any faults or defects
- Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
- Communicating effectively with customers and staff at delivery locations
Essential Skills:
To be successful as a Van Delivery Driver, you will need:
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience
- A valid UK Category B Driving Licence
- Strong knowledge of vehicle operation and driving regulations
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to identify and report vehicle safety issues
- A good understanding of road networks and navigation tools
- The ability to work to tight deadlines and use your own initiative
- A willingness to undergo a DBS check
Desirable Experience:
To be successful as a Van Delivery Driver, it would be beneficial if you have:
- Previous experience driving commercial vehicles
- Experience completing high-volume multi-drop deliveries
- Experience using handheld scanners or delivery tracking systems
Training:
As a Van Delivery Driver, you will receive:
- Industry-related training
- Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
