Transport Co-Ordinator – West Bromwich

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Transport Co-Ordinator to join our well-established client based in West Bromwich.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and reliable individual to support the day-to-day running and compliance of a busy transport operation, with opportunities for training and career development.

This position would suite applicants who have worked in a role as a Transport Administrator, Transport Compliance Administrator or Logistics Co-Ordinator.

Hours:

  • 25 hours per week
  • Working days and hours will be agreed at interview and are subject to business requirements

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a Transport Co-Ordinator, you will work:

  • Maintaining driver records and documentation
  • Monitoring drivers’ hours and Working Time Directive compliance
  • Reviewing tachograph infringements and missing mileage
  • Maintaining vehicle compliance records
  • Monitoring MOTs, inspections, servicing, maintenance, and repairs
  • Supporting compliance with Operator Licence requirements
  • Carrying out general transport administration and communication with drivers
  • Keeping track of deadlines and ensuring records are accurate and up to date

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Transport Co-Ordinator, you will need:

  • Previous experience in transport, logistics, fleet administration, or compliance would be advantageous
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Confidence using computer systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • The ability to manage deadlines and work independently
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with drivers and colleagues
  • Knowledge of drivers’ hours, tachographs, Working Time Directive regulations, or Operator Licence compliance would be beneficial
