Quality Checking Operative – Alfreton, Derbyshire
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Quality Checking Operative to join our well-established client based in Alfreton, Derbyshire.

This role would suit applicants who have worked as a Quality Checker, Warehouse Quality Operative or Goods-In Quality Inspector
Rates of Pay:
- £14.78 per hour (Rotating Shifts)
- £17.01 per hour (Night Shifts)
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Friday
- 06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00 (rotating weekly)
- Sunday to Thursday
- 22:00 – 06:00

Day-to-Day Duties:
Your duties as a Quality Checking Operative are:
- Checking products and orders to ensure they meet the required quality standards and specifications
- Carrying out visual inspections of products for any defects, damage or discrepancies
- Checking quantities, labels, packaging and product information for accuracy
- Identifying and reporting any quality issues or damaged goods to the relevant team leader or supervisor
- Ensuring products are correctly packed and prepared for dispatch
- Completing quality checks and maintaining accurate records where required
- Working closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure quality standards are consistently maintained
- Supporting with general warehouse duties when required
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Lifting and carrying items up to 15kg
Essential Skills:
To be successful as a Quality Checking Operative, you will need:
- A good level of spoken and written English
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify errors or defects
- Reliable, punctual and committed with a strong work ethic
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work
- The ability to pass a basic English and numeracy test
- Comfortable lifting items up to 15kg
- The ability to work towards targets while maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality
- Previous warehouse, quality checking, production or inspection experience is desirable but not essential
