VAN DRIVER (FLATBED) – Worcester

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Van Driver (Flatbed) to join our well-established client based in Worcester.

£13.00 per hour | Monday to Friday | Weekly Pay | Ongoing Work | Full Training Provided | Immediate Starts

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Van Driver, Flatbed Van Driver, 3.5 Tonne Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Delivery Driver, Light Goods Vehicle Driver or Courier Driver.

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Van Driver (Flatbed), your duties will include but not be limited to:

 • Completing between two and four deliveries per day
 • Loading and unloading doors with assistance from warehouse staff
 • Loading your vehicle in preparation for the following day’s deliveries
 • Ensuring all loads are safe, secure, and compliant with transport regulations
 • Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects
 • Operating a flatbed transit van safely and efficiently
 • Completing delivery paperwork accurately
 • Communicating professionally with customers and site staff at delivery locations
 • Providing excellent customer service at all times

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Van Driver (Flatbed), you will need:

 • A valid UK Category B Driving Licence held for a minimum of three years
 • Applicants must be aged 23 or over due to insurance requirements
 • Good knowledge of road traffic regulations and safe driving practices
 • Strong communication and customer service skills
 • The ability to identify and report vehicle defects or safety concerns
 • Good geographical knowledge and the ability to use navigation systems
 • The ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines
 • A reliable, professional, and punctual attitude

Desirable Experience

 • Previous commercial van driving experience
 • Previous delivery driving experience
 • Experience driving a flatbed or other commercial vehicles would be advantageous

Training Provided

 • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
