People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 ADR Driver – Nights to join our well-established client based in Middlesbrough. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent hourly rates, ongoing Monday to Friday night work, no handball, trunking duties, immediate starts and genuine long-term opportunities.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 ADR Driver, LGV Class 1 ADR Driver, Class 1 ADR Driver, Category CE ADR Driver, ADR Driver, CE Driver, C+E Driver, Trunk Driver, HGV Driver or Commercial Driver.

Shifts

 • Monday to Friday

 • 17:00 start times

 • £19.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 1 ADR Driver, your duties will include:

 • Completing trunk runs between RDCs and customer sites

 • Transporting ADR goods using curtain-sided trailers

 • No handball involved

 • Driving and operating Category C+E (Class 1) vehicles safely and efficiently

 • Carrying out daily vehicle safety inspections

 • Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant before transport

 • Completing delivery paperwork accurately

 • Following Driver Hours Regulations, ADR requirements and all road traffic legislation

 • Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly

Essential Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

 • Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence

 • Minimum of 12 months’ Class 1 driving experience

 • Valid Driver CPC Card

 • Valid Digital Tachograph Card

 • Valid ADR Certificate (essential)

 • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes

 • Professional, reliable and safety-focused approach

 • Good communication skills and attention to detail

Desirable Experience

 • Previous ADR trunking experience

 • Previous commercial Class 1 driving experience

 • Experience working with curtain-sided trailers

Training Provided

 • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
