Forklift Driver (Counterbalance) – Yate

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Forklift Driver (Counterbalance) to join our well-established client based in Yate.

This is a great opportunity to join a stable and supportive business on a permanent basis.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an FLT Operator, Forklift Truck Driver, or Counterbalance Truck Driver.

Shift Pattern:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Rotating weekly shifts:
    • 5:00am to 2:00pm
    • 1:00pm to 10:00pm

Salary:

  • £30,500 per annum

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a Forklift Driver, your duties will include:

  • Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
  • Loading and unloading vehicles
  • Picking and preparing customer orders
  • Carrying out manual handling duties
  • Supporting goods-in and goods-out operations
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment

Essential Skills:

The skills required as a Forklift Driver are:

  • Previous warehouse experience
  • A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (Combi Lift licence also accepted)
  • Comfortable to carry out manual handling duties when picking orders, with mechanical lifting equipment available where possible
  • Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures
  • Timber industry experience would be advantageous but is not essential

  • Full training provided
  • Ongoing development and support
